Still on the Fast and Loosing

Still on Fast but...
I'm still on my fast, but fell of numerous times, because of events and saying no was not in my vocabulary.
I have 14 more days and I know I will be satisfied with the result.
I did start a 50 day raw food challenge, ending on Thanksgiving.
Then I will show more pictures of myself and raw food photos that I created.
This is a raw fitness web-site, but it's still in its baby stages.

Day 1 of 40 days Juice Fasting + 1 smoothie
Day 1 was easy. I gave myself a week to start, so I could get used to it. I initially fasted for 2 days before I started today. But today is day 1.
It wasn't really hard at all. And if the 1st day is going great, I know the rest of the way will be paved with gold.
I fell off my diet again. It wasn't the first time. My new digital scale was broken and I was really 159lbs, not 149. Now my weight on the scale says 178. To me that's a lot of water weight, so it doesn't bother me so much. I lost so many inches and I look like I'm 165lbs.
I started eating, because I looked good, but then the business meetings started to pick up and it's easy to overeat being social.
So I will be turning down my food at these events that I have lined up. I will be requesting a doggy bag tomorrow at my luncheon at an Italian restaurant.
This is for me, my closer walk with Yahweh/God and to take control of my eating habits, plus many more benefits.

New Weight
It's been 3 weeks eating raw fruits and vegetables and I'm now down to 149lbs.
*Tanisha is very close to goal and loving the way her clothes fit.* LOL
I'm will work out today for 30mins., because I have too. I have to work tonight at the hospital, but I'll be ready to take care of business after I come home.
I'm going to try jicama potato salad today. I hope it tastes good.

14 Days Raw and Awesome
Today is day 14 of eating the raw food diet. I even tried raw tuna steaks. Delicious.
I know my flatulence is less, I had to print that.
My weight has dropped and now I'm close to 150lbs.
My new goal is bet. 125-130 on my 5ft 2' frame.
I eat all kinds of fruits and vegetables. I will post my receipe photos on my blog soon.

No Grainer is a No Brainer
I'm doing well with this No-Grain thing, but last weekend was my 13th Wedding Anniversary and I ate grain and sugary products.
Now it's time to get back on and how easy it has been. For two days I had no grain or sugar and it seemed like my body just bounced right back.
No more yoyo dieting for me, the journey is over.

Try the close to the same Diet
I bought the no-grain diet book.
It's a no brainer. I lost over 50lbs doing this in 2004. Gained it back because of financial and homelessness problems.
Now I've been on my 7th day and I feel great.

END OF DAY FIVE
I have hunger pangs but haven't BMed yet.
Today is Easter & I ate at a restaurant yesterday going out with the church ladies.
My husband cooked today, but I didn't eat, because I have to continue this water fast, which will be over Wednesday.
GREAT NEWS!
My husband says he'll partner with me to go on a 30 day Juice fast ending on May 8th, the day before mothers day.
We will be keeping each other and I will be posting.
I know I may flipping, but I'm always looking for a challenge. This will be the best, because now I have a partner... the best one...my husband.

MIDDLE OF DAY 3
Yesterday, which was day 2 had me irritable. I still had back, leg pain & hunger pangs. Runny nose and flu like symptoms.
The benefits are white teeth, glassy eyes & weight loss. I had a couple of BM's, because of the waste in my body.
Today, day 3 got me flowing with energy. I still have back, leg pain , hunger pangs & flu like symptoms. I had a few BM's today.
It's getting easier day by day, but I will be off the water fast on Wednesday. Even though I'm getting used to eat, having a desire to eat is dimensioning. I guess because I'm used to eating. I'm not craving meat, bread, fruit, vegetables or any sort of food.
I do have a longing to exercise and on Wednesday I'll be starting, since I'll have a burst of energy from drinking homemade juices.
Wednesday will probably be juice & smoothies. I'm not sure, but I'll let you know.

END OF DAY 1 OF WATER FAST
At the start of day 1, I weighed in at 164lbs, down from 167lbs a week ago.
I'm still on my 30 day fast; 1 week of having one meal (just fruits/Veggies/Fish, cooked allowed), 1 wk of water fasting, 1 wk of the Eden diet (fruits/Veggies and/nuts & seeds put sparingly because of allergies, and 1 wk & 2 days of one meal a day (fruits/Veggies/fish/nuts & seeds)
Yesterday I experienced back & leg pain, hunger pangs, tiredness and my tummy itched. I had 1 BM.
I drunk a lot of water and prayed a lot. I also worked on my manuscript.
The closeness with God during fasting is like no other. If people can just experience it for one day instead of gouging food.
I tell you what I did love; being quiet as a mouse.

Getting Better and Alot Stronger
I am so proud of myself. For 30 days, I've been on a fruit/vegetable diet, including chips and plantians for treating myself. I ate them in various ways, so I was always satified.
My workouts have been going great. I started month 2 of Chalene Extreme, which is the Push Circuit.
Here are my 30 day results. The scale says the same 164. I am not discouraged, because I dropped a dress size.
From my head to my feet:
My face looks smaller and it's tighter. A little greasy because of potato chips/plaintains so on occasion I'll endulge in these delicious, non-nutritious items.
On occasion I will have meat and potatoes. Today I have a non-dairy, nut free, gluten & wheat free macaroon with hemp ice cream. Delicious.
My arms and breast are smaller. My collar bone shows more. My abs are smaller and alot stronger and my tire is getting smaller, my husband noticed before I did.
My butt has a lift. My hamstrings and glutes are tight, I can feel the muscle. Not surprising, I have always worked out.
My calves are leaner looking and my toes have less fat on them. LOL
In all I am always sore from my weight training and cardio 5 days a week. If I do more my body lets me know with a sharp pain somewhere in my body.
The best part of all is that my hour glass is coming and working out is definitely worth it.

3-Month Weight Lifting Regimen
Tomorrow I will start my Chalene Extreme 90 day workout DVDs again. I miss the feel of being sore. To me it meant that I am working my body to the max.
Today I asked my family where were my weights and they didn't know. I guess I have to start looking. Also I aced 25 push ups today and exhausted my abdominals. Awesome.
Today I weighed myself after cheating, which helped my plateau, I weighed 164lbs. 29lbs to go for my goal of 135lbs. I was 174 for over a month.
When you see that you've lost inches, you know the scale will budge one day. The key is to drink fluids throughout the day, drink more then you eat. Don't eat just before bedtime. If you get hunger pangs, a small fruit or small salad will help without adding the extra pounds. I do this.

30 day Smoothie Extended
I'm smoothing for life really, but the 30 day smoothie challenge has been extended. It will end on March the 3rd.
Today I had a green smoothie, using collard greens and other fruits. Drincking at least 64ozs a day, which is filling.
I love this challenge.
I also make homemade soups, I just can't get adjusted to raw soup. It has to be good. I believe I need a raw food chef to come to my house.
I am exercising as always. I use variety, since my knees are still hurting from jumping up and down. I have accomplished 24 pushups. I knew when I last did them I could go past 20 but I stopped. When I reached 22, my back started to hurt in a good way. It didn't last though, I was was working them while pushing up. Ha Ha
I am avoiding the scale for a while, but I do see my itches melting away, expecially in my face, boobs and thighs.

Losing and Loving it
I started a 30 day smoothie challenge, today 1/25/10 being day 5, but I think its going to last longer. I dropped 3lbs in a day, by having green smoothies, some chicken/vegetable soup (homemade), a few potatoe chips, and a few ounces of turkey breast. But mostly it was the 64 ounces of greem smoothie juice that I drinked. Delicious.
I bought a new scale that tells the truth. And I'm looking forward to being 135lbs by April. I may loose it sooner, but I'm going to eat clean for life. I love this stuff.
When you juice or drink green smoothies, your appetite is deeply suppressed. That's why I went close to 90 days on a juice fast, mostly green juice. The weight was coming off so fast I got scared and started eating grains and sugar products again, no more.
I've learned that if my weight loss is going fast let it, because it will eventually slow down. Fat disappears and there's nothing left but beautiful muscles.
From doing Insanity for that month, I am able to do over 20 pushups, no knees. Exciting. I did insanity today for close to an hour, not fun, but I just had to do it. At least, I can take a day off. I have to pace myself with a program like this. My knees can't take all the jumping.

Back to 100% Raw Food
I decided to go on a weightloss challenge, which to me won't be much of one, because I love to drink smoothies. I'm always on the go and 30 days will get most of the weight off, plus exercise.
I'm so glad that I'm back smoothing. No eating, so this will be a cinch.
I binged for close to a week and now I'm 175lbs!!. Atkins. By the second day I ate something wrong. oh my. But I look much less, lost inches almost immediatly.
Every time I lose weight I'm going to blog to show how I'm doing.
I know alot of this is water, so most of it will come off fast.
My journey is so up and down. That's how weight loss is. Up and down. You try what works best. Atkins worked at that time and it didn't work this time. Once I loose this stomach, there is no turning back. I have to stop being used to it. My husband helps me think this way, because he's comfortable with his belly and tells me that I look great all the time. NOT!!!

Half Raw and Difference Fitness
I just completed my 3rd fit test with Insanity

I achieved progress on half, because of knee pain and not eating right. Yes I cheated. We'll since I have knee pain, I will be going back to low impact cardio to get the rest of my weight down.
And I may not hug the scale as much, because it doesn't tell how I look.
As for my raw food eating, I am down to 50 now, because I'm trying to stay away from fruits and only take in about 50 carbs a day to get the weight off.
